A MORNING OF SONG ON JANE'S FARM
WITH DAVID BURBIDGE OF LAKELAND VOICES
FOLLOWED BY AN AFTERNOON OF REFLECTIVE WANDERING AND WRITING

Voice Work and Harmony Singing

Welcome to April's "Write on the Farm" Workshop with  David Burbidge of Lakeland Voices  David will lead the morning’s session. Welcome David, we’re very much looking forward to singing on the farm with you!

The afternoon session will be spent outdoors around the farm, reflecting on sound/s and how we convey them on paper - through use of different fonts, indentations, shaped poem around the page? - and on how we use our voices.

I'll be referring to Jerome Rothenberg's book 'Shaking the Pumpkin' and also magazines he and Dennis Tedlock edited in the 1970's called Alcheringa (Ethnopoetics, Voice of and from different Cultures), as well as an extract from 'PrairyErth' by William Least Heat Moon
